DRIVER+ is a significant pan-European effort to accelerate innovation in crisis management. To this end, the project has created a set of sustainable outputs for crisis management stakeholders.
They include a Test-bed for the assessment of innovative crisis management innovations through trials; a Portfolio of Solutions to showcase and exchange information on existing products; the CMINE– an online platform to enhance the shared understanding of crisis management and a network of Centres of Expertise to support organisations in the use of DRIVER+ products.

DRIVER+ TEST-BED
⇒ CRISIS MANAGEMENT PRACTITIONERS
Before committing resources, assess the added value of innovations against your legacy systems.
⇒ SOLUTIONS PROVIDERS
Evaluate your products and incorporate the end-user’s experience and feedback.
The DRIVER+ Test-bed comprises four components. The Trial Guidance Methodology (TGM) is a practitioner-centred and systematic approach to assess crisis management solutions in a realistic (simulated) context through trials. It is underpinned by the Trial Guidance Tool to guide users through the process of designing, executing and evaluating a Trial. The Test-bed Technical Infrastructure (TTI) connects solutions and simulates a crisis environment. Finally, a Training Module is available to familiarise practitioners with the different tools.

PORTFOLIO OF SOLUTIONS
⇒ CRISIS MANAGEMENT PRACTITIONERS
Find solutions matching your organisation’s operational gaps, compare them and access assessments and feedback from other users.
⇒ SOLUTIONS PROVIDERS
Make your innovations visible to practitioners by registering them in a free, open repository.
The Portfolio of Solutions catalogues innovative crisis management solutions at different technology readiness levels according to a well-structured taxonomy of crisis management functions and gaps. The Disaster Competence Network Austria (DCNA) and the Austrian Institute of Technology operate the PoS.
The PoS improves the accessibility of innovative crisis management solutions. It is a valuable source of credible, non-commercial information about existing solutions matching practitioner gaps. To better plan research and innovation programmes, the PoS can help identify the current state of the art as well as potential partners in industry and academia providing particular solutions.
