The IFIP WG 5.11 Computers and the Environment is organising a session : “Towards More Interoperable, Reusable and Scalable Environmental Software” at the 9th International Congress on Environmental Modelling and Software “Modelling for Sustainable Food-Energy-Water Systems” (iEMSs 2018) that will be held in Fort Collins (Colorado, US) on  June 24-26, 2018.

This session will serve as a forum for recent advances in the field of environmental software development that demonstrate experiences with big data, Internet of Things, cloud, virtualisation or parallel computing and how these transform environmental modelling and software practice. Application domains include a broad range of environmental sciences and applications, including environmental monitoring, marine, climate change, hydrology, agriculture, and emergency/crises management.

On this occasion, organisers invite experts to submit papers.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Draft Extended Abstract/Paper: April 1, 2018
