The 6th European Civil Protection Forum will take place in Brussels on 5 and 6 March 2018.

What is the purpose of this event?

Every two years the European Commission (DG ECHO) organises the European Civil Protection Forum, aiming at bringing together representatives from governments, academia, civil protection authorities, first responders, international organisations and European institutions in order to share experiences and formulate recommendations for strengthening the implementation of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. This year, the main theme is “Civil Protection in a Changing Risk Landscape” and four policy areas will be addressed:

  • Strengthening Preparedness
  • Simplifying Response
  • Scaling up Prevention
  • Fostering Resilience in the Neighbourhood

Do not miss this event !

This is an excellent opportunity for you to discuss policy and operational issues of common interest at a time when changes in the global risk landscape are already affecting the mandate of civil protection authorities at local, regional, national and European level.

Registration for the event will be open shortly and the programme will be available here. Stay tuned for more information to come!
